The surrender value of a policy

Surrender value can be simply termed as the amount that a policyholder will get once they exit from the policy before the maturity of the policy is over. When a policyholders surrenders their policy mid way through the entire term, they will get a value of the sum that had been allocated towards the savings and the earnings of the policy and so on. A surrender charge is deducted from this value and this charge can differ from policy to policy.

The Indian Gold Deal

The Yellow metal is just going up like a sky rocket as if nothing is there to stop the current prices with the gold prices. You might have heard that India had bought a 200 tonnes of gold from the IMF (International Monetary Fund) for $6.7 billion. But would be the idea behind such a move? any ideas for that? With this move India’s gold earnings will be the tenth largest among the world central banks. This deal has triggered many analyst with their own versions of the deal, since RBI is silent with the deal stating it as foreign exchange reserve management.

The companies have increased the dividend payout to its investors erasing fears that they would tighten with the dividends. There are a good number of companies who have increased their dividend. Of the total data available for 377 companies nearly 131 have made increase with their dividend for the year March 2009. The list is said to include the companies that have closed their books on Dec 2008 and Sep 2008 or June 2008. This move would put some relief to the investors who have been burned by the fall of the Sensex last year.

In India Micro finance seems to be the buzz in the streets of the Mutual fund industry. The industry is not grown like what is found to be in the other developed countries. Keeping in mind with the vast untapped market of India Mutual fund companies are getting with new plans which would range from Rs.10 to 300 per day. The target of the micro finance is for the rural and semi urban area households with low income. To tap the market major fund houses like UTIMF and SBIMF have been associated with many NGO’s and other micro credit institutions locally. The first one to get into the micro financing market was Bharati AXA with their Bharati AXA Equity Fund by the last of September which was with a minimum investment of Rs.300.
