Next up was former England ODI captain and middle order mainstay Paul Collingwood. Delhi Daredevils again buying the player for $275,000.

After buying Tait, Rajasthan Royals were quiet in the second round only to begin the third round of auction in style, pocketing South African Tyron Henderson for $650,000.

England all-rounder Ravi Bopara would need to brush up his Punjabi fast as Kings XI Punjab picked him up for $450,000.
Chennai Super Kings, in a bid to extend their catchment area onto Sri Lanka, bought paceman Thilan Thushara for $140,000. They also went on to buy Australian batsman George Bailey for $50,000 in the last round of auctions.
After spending big on Kevin Pietersen, Bangalore Royal Challengers went easy before buying New Zealander Jesse Ryder for $160,000.

In a fix after Shaun Pollock withdrew himself from the next season’s IPL, Mumbai Indians were in desperate search for a bowling all-rounder. They ended up buying Kyle Mills for $150,000.

Kings XI Punjab ended the auction by buying West Indies paceman Jerome Taylor for $150,000.
